At Clawson's we specialize in real, home cooked food made by real people — many who have been with us for years.

When you come in for our lump crab cake, know that Chef James spent hours perfecting the recipe. When you dig into a giant piece of Death by Chocolate Cake, you can be certain our baker, Debbie, made it with care. Even our ridiculously tasty ranch dressing is mixed up right here.

We wouldn't serve our own families pre-prepared food. Why would we serve it to yours? Clawson's is always homemade.

Our Historic Building and Antiques

Clawson's 1905 Restaurant & Pub gets its name from Clawson's Grocery and Bakery, which opened in 1905. Today, the restaurant has grown beyond the original grocery store space and into the building next door, fondly remembered as Roses Department Store in the midcentury.

Clawson's pays homage to 108 years on Beaufort Waterfront with walls bursting with antiques, photos and old local newspapers. The antiques and memorabilia on our walls run the gamut from never-opened cans of mid-century Schlitz to antique grocer's scales to an old wooden phone booth.

Remembering and preserving the history of downtown Beaufort is as priority for Clawson's. We hope you enjoy our collection as much as we do.
